Meet The Young Artist

Henry De Rienzo, the 2023 Sierra Symphony Orchestra featured young artist, is the son of Ben and Alicia De Rienzo of Shingle Springs. Henry is thirteen years old, has a younger sister, Isla, and has been playing piano for four years under the instruction of several teachers: Lisa Stewart, Sarah Blau, and currently, Michelle Jones.

Henry, who is home-schooled, became interested in playing the piano with the encouragement of his grandmother and parents. He especially enjoys playing the works of Chopin, Mozart, and Rachmaninoff. Henry has many musical interests including playing the bass guitar, drums, and creating original compositions. He currently plays the piano for his church’s worship team and enjoys listening to and playing a variety of genres.

When he is not creating music, Henry also enjoys playing basketball, skiing, doing mathematical computations, speedcubing, and coding. In the future, Henry plans to keep learning and expanding his interests.
